2023 was a year for both new and continued collaborations for us, working closely with many other UK-based small businesses!
We see the importance of supporting fellow small brands, specialist shops and independent photographers being a small business ourself! When you buy from us, you are supporting a number of local manufacturers, producing both our garments and the trims that make them up. You also support local photographers and packaging suppliers too, so it's important that we recognise our collaborations and help to develop one another's businesses in the future.
I wanted to touch upon some of my favourite partnerships within our first few years as a brand and how they have helped contribute to the success of Highland & Herringbone. All businesses have been linked in the headers so if you wish to have a browse or would like some more information about them, head on over to their websites to read more.
Last year began with one of my favourite giveaways yet... our collaboration with The Country Rose where one lucky winner bagged themself a cosy bundle of home & knitwear worth over £250. This giveaway saw over 2200 entries, making it one of our biggest highlights of the year!
The prizes included our beautiful Blossom Brae Jumper & Harris Hat, alongside the cosy Grey, Pink and Cream Check British Wool Blanket & Hydrangeas Linen Blend Cushion by The Country Rose. To shop these pieces, click the links above. Sadly the blanket is no longer available, but you can take a look at their Pink British Wool Blanket instead!
The Country Rose support and understand our values in sustainability by producing pieces in an ethical way and using natural yarns where possible.
Following on nicely from this, our studio photographer Craig, owner and founder of AGH Photography, has helped to turn my visions into reality with multiple studio shoots throughout the year. Our giveaway imagery with The Country Rose was shot in studio with Craig and our stunning model, Elena. They created a cosy, 'at home' atmosphere helping with the success of the giveaway.
Craig has worked on multiple campaigns with us, including our Valentine's Day gift guide and our birthday social imagery to celebrate the third year of H&H.
Our Valentine's Day campaign has to be one of my favourites, combining a romantic feminine aesthetic with a fun touch of pink:
We had SO much fun creating our Birthday imagery too! Let's just say there was confetti EVERYWHERE!
As you may know, Roalex Equestrian & Country Wear are an independent store in Fivemiletown, Northern Ireland stocking many well-known country brands, including us!
Roalex have stocked Highland & Herringbone for over two years now and continue to support us with the recent news that they will be stocking our new, Oh So Cosy collection of cashmere accessories in their store.
Our collaboration with Roalex has given me the opportunity to travel over to Northern Ireland, not once but twice, to meet the lovely Alexandra & Rosanna (sisters and co-owners of the store), spend time in the shop with them and meet their family too.
We spent time photographing our current (and new at the time) range in the beautiful Irish countryside.
We also visited the coastline in Southern Ireland and it made the perfect sandy backdrop for our new Isla Jumper.
Recently, we collaborated with the stylish country brand, Ossa Stark, the leading country underwear brand, sustainably producing here in the UK, like us!
Our collaboration was in the form of a giveaway, giving one lucky winner the Brae Jumper and Harris Hat by Highland & Herringbone and the Brown Check Thong and Brown Check Bralette by Ossa Stark. I have linked the products above, so have a browse!
Aren't they just beautiful!? And they are the perfect underwear pairing with our lambswool jumpers!
Another photographer we work closely with is the talented Michael, owner of Lens & Hound. He produces stunning lifestyle imagery and videography, working with a variety of models and locations. He also helps to style the models with the most perfect aesthetic.
Both our Love Ewe range & our Oh So Cosy range have been shot by Michael, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!
The final collaboration I would love to talk about is our longest to date! Hiho Silver are a well known country brand, producing high quality, sterling silver jewellery.
We have been lucky enough to work alongside them, developing our own range of jewellery in partnership. Unfortunately, we no longer have stock of our previous jewellery range, but we would LOVE to develop further and produce a new stylish collection of gold or silver pieces. Keep your eyes peeled in the near future to see what this may look like and let us know in the comments if there is anything you would love to see in particular!
I hope you have enjoyed reading about lots of our lovely collaborations; we would love to hear about any suggestions for future collaborations that you have, whether that's products, giveaways or events!
If you have any questions about H&H, please get in touch with me by emailing email@example.com.
